Starlink Professional Installation

Customer Terms & Conditions

SBPM Partners, LLC · Effective Date: 09/07/2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing our Starlink Professional Installation Service, you (“the Customer” or “you”) agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). Please read them carefully before completing your purchase.

1.1 What to expect

A standard Starlink installation normally takes our engineers between one and two hours to complete, and longer if you have a custom request. Your installer will call you on the morning of your installation to confirm your estimated time of arrival, so you can plan your day. Your existing broadband can remain connected throughout, so your service is not interrupted.

2. Scope of the Standard Installation

2.1 What’s included

Carried out on a standard primary or secondary residence, a standard professional installation includes:

• Site assessment: a site survey and obstruction check, and agreeing the optimal dish position with you.

• Dish mounting: securely mounting the dish using a Starlink OEM mount, at a height that can be reached safely from a standard ladder (up to 8 metres / 26 feet).*

• Cable routing: one cable run from the dish to the nearest practical entry point into your home, using the cabling supplied with your Starlink Kit.

• Router setup: connecting and placing the router at the nearest fixed power source to the entry point.

• Configuration & testing: system configuration and activation, a speed test, signal / field-of-view verification, and a walkthrough of the Starlink app.

* Height limits and applicable safety requirements are confirmed for your country. In some countries, reaching this height may legally require two or more people; that does not, by itself, make your installation Additional Work.

2.2 What’s not included — available as “Additional Work”

The following fall outside the standard installation. Where your site needs any of them, your installer will identify it, give you a written quote, and proceed only once you have accepted it in writing. Additional Work is billed separately:

– Specialist or non-OEM mounting hardware beyond the included Starlink OEM mount — for example, non-penetrating ballast mounts for flat roofs, ground, or garden installations; heavy-duty third-party brackets; chimney mounts; or any additional mounts.

– Access requiring scaffolding, a MEWP / cherry-picker, roof or triple-extension ladders, slate-roof ladders, or any height above the standard limit.

– Concealed or complex cable routing — trunking, conduit, trenching, in-wall concealment, additional or extended cable runs, chemical anchoring, or drilling through masonry or walls thicker than approximately 80 cm.

– Electrical work (installing new outlets or circuits), hard-wiring to extend signal reach, and specialist insulation work.

– Additional Wi-Fi coverage beyond the standard or mini router, and extra accessories (e.g. a mini Wi-Fi router), which are purchased separately.

– De-installation or removal work.

– Non-standard properties — listed, heritage, or character buildings, and externally clad properties.

2.3 How Additional Work is handled

Any work outside the standard installation requires a written quote that you accept before the work begins. We will not carry out chargeable work without your prior written acceptance.

2.4 Business and non-residential orders

The standard professional installation is reserved for primary and secondary residences. Where an order is placed for a business or non-residential premises, a surcharge applies and a site audit is mandatory before installation is scheduled.

2.5 Local safety regulations

All installations are subject to local health and safety regulations. In some areas, certain work (such as roof installations, work at height, or confined-space entry) may require additional people or arrangements to be carried out safely; where this is needed simply to reach the standard height limit, it does not by itself make the work Additional Work. Your installer will assess site conditions and local requirements during the visit and will advise you if anything falls outside the standard scope, at additional cost.

3. Payment and Pricing

3.1 Payment

• Full payment for the standard installation is required before your installation is scheduled.

• Payment is processed securely through our online platform.

• All prices are as displayed at the time of purchase and include applicable taxes where required.

3.2 Additional costs

• Additional Work, additional equipment, and accessories are priced separately.

• Your assigned installer will provide pricing for any Additional Work during the scheduling call or the on-site assessment.

• Charges for Additional Work are quoted to you in advance and, once you have accepted them in writing, are invoiced in accordance with the arrangements in place for your installation.

4. Installation Process

4.1 Scheduling

• After payment, we will get in touch via phone, email, or SMS within 24 business hours to start the process of scheduling your installation.

• Installation appointments are subject to installer availability and weather conditions.

• You (or an authorised adult) must be present throughout the installation.

4.2 Site requirements

• You are responsible for ensuring safe and reasonable access to the installation area.

• The installation site must comply with local building codes and any HOA or landlord requirements.

• You must obtain any necessary permissions or permits before installation.

• Your Starlink equipment must be available on-site at the time of installation.

4.3 Installation standards

• All installations are performed in accordance with Starlink specifications, local building codes, and applicable health and safety regulations.

• The standard installation includes basic cable management but not in-wall concealment; concealed or complex routing is Additional Work (see Section 2.2).

• Installations may involve drilling, external mounting, and cable routing; you accept these works as necessary to deliver the agreed service.

• Your installer determines the most practical cable routing based on your property’s structure and local safety requirements.

5. Installer Relationship and Responsibilities

5.1 Independent contractor relationship

• SBPM Partners, LLC (“SBPM”) acts as a service coordinator, connecting you with a qualified, independent installation company or technician (“the installer”).

• The installer is an independent contractor, not an employee or agent of SBPM.

• The installer is solely responsible for the quality and performance of the installation work.

5.2 Installer qualifications

• Installers are certified Starlink Authorized Installers.

• Installers carry appropriate insurance and professional certifications.

• Installers must comply with applicable safety standards and local regulations.

6. Warranties, Liability and Damage Claims

6.1 Service-coordination warranty

• SBPM warrants that it will coordinate qualified installer services as described, and that assigned installers are certified and insured.

6.2 Installation warranty and liability

• Installation workmanship is warranted by the installer, not by SBPM.

• The installer is solely liable for property damage or personal injury arising from the installation work.

• Installers carry general liability insurance to at least the minimum coverage required by local regulations, and provide warranty coverage for their work in line with industry standards.

• Equipment warranties are provided by Starlink, not by SBPM or the installer.

6.3 Property-damage claims

• All property-damage claims must be reported to the installer within 48 hours of discovery.

• Please document any damage with photographs and obtain repair estimates.

• On request, SBPM will provide the installer’s contact and insurance details.

• We are not liable for minor cosmetic damage (for example, small drill holes or paint flaking) reasonably incidental to a standard installation; SBPM is not liable for property damage caused during installation work.

6.4 Personal injury

• Installers carry appropriate liability insurance for personal-injury claims.

• Any personal injury during installation should be reported immediately to emergency services if required, and then to the installer. SBPM is not liable for personal injuries occurring during installation work.

6.5 Limitation of SBPM liability

• SBPM’s liability is limited to refunding the service-coordination element of the fee paid to SBPM.

• SBPM is not liable for property damage, personal injury, or equipment issues arising from installation.

• Claims regarding installation quality, defects, or damage must be directed to the installer.

• SBPM is not responsible for Starlink equipment performance or service quality.

6.6 Maximum liability cap

• In no event will SBPM’s total liability exceed the amount paid to SBPM for the installation service.

• SBPM is not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.

• This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory under which damages are claimed, except where applicable mandatory law provides otherwise.

7. Cancellation and Refunds

7.1 Cancellation before installation

• All cancellations are subject to a non-refundable 20 USD / GBP / EUR administration fee, covering time, processing, and scheduling costs.

• You may cancel up to 48 hours before installation by notifying us in writing; we will reimburse the installation fee you paid, minus the administration fee.

• Any cancellation less than 48 hours before installation will incur a fee of 60 USD / GBP / EUR for the unused booking of installer time, in addition to the administration fee.

• If an installation cannot take place for reasons attributable to the customer (no-show, equipment not available without notice, required authorisations not obtained, and similar), a penalty of 120 USD / GBP / EUR applies, in addition to the administration fee.

• We will provide a detailed breakdown of any deductions before processing a refund.

7.2 Installation issues

• If the standard installation cannot be completed due to site conditions beyond the installer’s control, you will receive a full refund of the installation fee.

• If local safety regulations prevent completion of the standard installation as described, you will be offered alternative arrangements at additional cost, or a full refund.

• If you refuse installation after the installer’s arrival for reasons unrelated to installer performance or safety compliance, no refund will be provided.

8. Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

– Providing accurate site information during booking, including any known local safety restrictions.

– Ensuring safe access to installation areas and being present during installation.

– Obtaining necessary permissions from landlords, HOAs, or local authorities, including any consent required for listed, heritage, or protected buildings.

– Understanding that local health and safety regulations may affect installation scope and cost.

– Protecting personal property during installation and following the installer’s safety instructions.

– Having your Starlink equipment available on-site.

If access or site conditions differ materially from the information you provide, we reserve the right to adjust pricing or reschedule the installation.

9. Privacy and Data Protection

• We collect the contact information necessary to coordinate installation services, and installers may collect technical information required for service delivery.

• We share necessary contact information with your assigned installer, do not sell personal information to third parties, and may share information where required by law.

• Our processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with applicable data protection laws and the SBPM Privacy Policy.

10. Dispute Resolution

• Disputes should first be directed to SBPM customer service; installation-related disputes should also be raised with the installer.

• Any dispute not resolved informally will be settled by binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association Commercial Rules, seated in Houston, Texas, with each party bearing its own legal costs.

• You agree that disputes must be brought individually and not as part of any class action.

11. Force Majeure

Neither party is liable for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, government actions, or other force majeure events.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory local consumer-protection law applies to you.

13. General Provisions

• Entire agreement. These Terms constitute the entire agreement regarding installation services and supersede all prior agreements.

• Modifications. SBPM may update these Terms with notice; your continued use constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

• Severability. If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
